Aristotle’s insight that “the things we have to learn before we do them, we learn by doing them”, while being common sense, is often overlooked in the domain of conventional adult learning. Ironically, “learn by doing” is a natural activity, as can be demonstrated by the role-play games by children that help them understand complex systems and dynamic processes in real life.

By taking a leaf out of Aristotle’s book in our trainer-led sales training course, trainees are actively engaged in role-playing, problem-solving, brainstorming, and individual and team exercises and receive exhaustive coaching and critical dialogue. The combination of application, face-to-face instructor and group feedback, plus self- evaluation creates engaging, pertinent, and instantly applicable learning that fast-tracks behaviour change in your sales team.

The central tenet of the philosophy behind our sales training methodology is that the trainees are not empty vessels. Trainees are valued for what they bring to the course. Our trainers employ a maieutic style of probing and use in-depth conversation before moving forward and putting forth their own ideas and models. This method when compared to sermonising, gains trainee engagement and buy-in before we build models and impart learning points.

Our training methods are a mix of constructivism and behavioural approaches created to make the most of learning for all involved. Visual, auditory, and kinaesthetic learning qualities are all incorporated in the trainer-led sales training course. Visual indicators are provided with conceptual aids, such as diagrams and models. Trainees with a preference for audio based enjoy the fact that Rough Diamond course trainers lead involving, conversation-based activities and dialogues — as opposed to scholastic performances.
